Stylistically, the Palate Character of Syrah can vary depending on ripeness from a rich Round & Fleshy, Tone & Backbone, to a Powerful & Extracted. The flavors and aromas can also vary with a dark, sometimes sweet, fruit character, varying amount of spice, floral, and earth, and smoke, and meaty aromas and flavors.

The Cuilleron family has been making wine in France’s Northern Rhône Valley since the 1920s. That said, current winemaker and owner Yves Cuilleron, has guided the domaine to new heights of quality while also dramatically expanding production since taking over in 1987.

Yves Cuilleron organically farms 59 hectares of low-yielding terraced vineyards by hand. Grapes are then fermented spontaneously with indigenous yeasts and aged in various oak and steel vessels with little use of sulphur.

The domaine’s various wines are united by their aromatic complexity, balance, transparency, with a mineral intensity that is true to the terroir.
